Thank you for choosing to bank with TCF Bank! The following steps outline what you need to do to activate your checking account and familiarize yourself with using it. There's lots you will have to do before classes begin, so take some time now to ensure your account is ready when you need it.

Stop by any TCF location to make a deposit. You may also mail a check to the South University Branch at 1123 South University Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48104  (be sure to include your account number). If you prefer to transfer money from a pre-existing account, set yourself up as bill pay or do a bank to bank transfer.2

Use the PIN number you selected when you opened your account (if you didn't create a PIN, one was mailed to you) to enroll. Follow the steps to set up your account. Once completed, select the "Mobile Banking" tab and enroll. Download the TCF Bank mobile app for your smartphone and/or tablet.

Once you receive your TCF Check Card, follow the instructions on the card to activate. Use your new TCF Check Card everywhere Visa® is accepted and at ATMs.

For payroll direct deposit, contact your employer’s HR office and request the form. Log on to Wolverine Access and follow the instructions for direct deposit of Financial Aid funds. You will need your CHECKING account number and TCF Bank’s ABA Routing Number, 272471548.
